Vipers come out of their shell

Tony El Takchi is as much of a hero in touch football circles as Chris Judd is in AFL and Shane Warne is in cricket. The Sydneysider, who was five times named player of the final during his illustrious National Touch League career and is now the assistant coach of the national mixed open team, was in Elwood last weekend to put some local players through their paces.

The training session was organised by Vipers Sports Club, which is fielding several teams in the Victorian Touch Football competition over summer.

Vipers touch footballers, who play in Elwood on Sunday mornings, got first dibs on the session with an exclusive half-hour clinic, after which all other Vipers members could join in.
