I was the person who suggest to the council that exercise equipment be place on the foreshore however my suggestion was to space each activity 0.5 km apart from West beach to Port Melbourne. This would allow ratepayers to join the activity at any point on the foreshore and walk or run to the next activity in a circuit (like in Albert Park Reserve or the Tan Track) but the "experts" chose to group all the equipment together. The location looks great but the chin up beam is too low and a few activities are a bit mickey mouse. Get rid of the sand and replace it with synthetic turf. Good try 6/10

On reflection my 6/10 rating was a bit harsh. 8/10 is more like it.

The former "surf" club was actually the former Middle Park Life Saving Club building. There is no "surf" on Port Phillip Bay either.
