Description:
Dockland’s stylish Yarra’s Edge precinct will be bursting at the seams with food and wine lovers on 3rd and 4th of March for the start of the 2012 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
More than 30 events will be on offer on the riverside promenade, which will come to life with Melbourne’s best culinary offerings and live jazz music from eight of Melbourne’s leading schools, spearheading the festivities across the two day celebration.
The precinct’s many restaurants will offer up local and international inspired sampling plates from only $5, with wines carefully chosen to complement each, tantalising even the most discerning palate.
Free river shuttle boats will operate between 10am and 5pm on both days from seven points, including Federation Wharf, Southgate Floating Land, Crown Riverside, WTC Wharf, South Wharf, Yarra’s Edge and Harbour Town/New Quay Marina. Ferry ticket cost is $5 per day.
